AT A GLANCE

Where it is. Open your Albertsons Companies store app, tap More in the bottom-right corner, then tap Meals Hub. On a computer, choose your store in the store picker Mealime links to.

What it costs. Nothing. Mealime says Meals Hub is 100% free, including the recipes that used to be Mealime Pro.

How we checked. From Mealime’s closing notice and FAQ, Albertsons’ help page for the section and Plan to Eat’s hands-on review, read on 27 October 2026. We are not affiliated with Albertsons Companies; we make MealPot, a competing planner.

What Meals Hub is

Meals Hub is not a separate app. It is a section inside the store apps and websites run by Albertsons Companies, the grocery group that bought Mealime in 2021. Mealime says it includes every Mealime recipe plus thousands more, new recipes from the same chef team, dietary preferences and food restrictions, themed collections such as Kid-Friendly meals and Meals with Deals, and a way to shop the ingredients.

Albertsons’ own help page for the section describes recipes you filter by eating style (classic, vegetarian, vegan, keto-friendly, paleo-friendly, carb-conscious, flexitarian and pescatarian), allergies and dislikes, nutrition details on every recipe, and a hands-free cooking mode.

Apps called “Mealhub” or “MealsHub” in the App Store and Google Play are unrelated products. Albertsons’ Meals Hub is only inside the store apps.

Which apps have it

The store picker that Mealime links to covers Safeway, Albertsons, Vons, Jewel-Osco, ACME Markets, Shaw’s, Star Market, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Carrs and Haggen. Use the app for the store you shop at.

No store nearby? Mealime says you can still browse recipes, create meal plans and generate shopping lists in Meals Hub; only the cart and delivery need a store.

Getting started

  1. Install or update the app for your Albertsons Companies store.
  2. Sign in with your store account, or create a free one. Your Mealime login does not carry over (see Meals Hub login).
  3. Tap More, then Meals Hub.
  4. Set your dietary preferences in your Meals Hub profile.
  5. Pick recipes for the week, then add the ingredients to My List for a store trip or to the cart for pickup or delivery.

The full walkthrough is in how to use Meals Hub.

Coming from Mealime

Your Mealime account does not move across. Meals Hub uses a store account, Mealime says personal data is deleted at shutdown, and some preferences and settings have to be set up again in Meals Hub. The recipes themselves are all there.

If you want a Mealime recipe without a store account, every Mealime dinner is rebuilt in our Mealime recipe archive with its ingredients and a grocery list for 2 to 6 people.
