AT A GLANCE

Mealime’s official Google Play listing remains public as of 12 September 2026. Its release notes say Pro is now free and subscriptions will not renew. Mealime closes on 21 October 2026; an old APK does not extend that service.

Use the official download and read the closure notice.

Open Mealime Meal Plans & Recipes on Google Play, published under Mealime Meal Plans Inc. Use the installation or update option offered for your device. A public listing does not establish availability for every phone and country; the store’s device check is the relevant one.

The listing’s current release notes announce the October shutdown, free Pro and non-renewal. Older search snippets may still display a monthly Pro price. Mealime’s closing notice confirms Pro access for everyone and no further subscription fees before shutdown. If you need to inspect billing records, use the subscription guide.

What does a “Mealime APK” search get you?

An APK is an Android installation package. Keeping a package preserves installation files, not the online service or your private account records. The announced closure applies to Mealime as a service, so a version archive is not a supported way to continue it after 21 October. Use the official Play route for the app and a separate recipe backup for information you want to retain.

For Meals Hub, Mealime documents opening the grocery app, tapping More at the bottom right, then Meals Hub. Some preferences and settings must be established there. You can browse, plan and make lists without a nearby Albertsons Companies store; grocery checkout is a separate availability question. Mealime’s official access instructions.

Save a recipe in your browser.

Mealime’s sharing article, updated 29 July 2019, labels its recipe-sharing instructions as iOS. It is not evidence that the Android app has the identical menu. If you already have a public recipe link, use the browser route below. If you cannot obtain one, keep the recipe text and your personal notes instead of treating a favourites-page address as a recipe link.

  1. Open the complete public recipe in Chrome. Copy its page address. Google documents More → Share for sharing a Chrome page on Android; this is the browser’s control, not an assumed Mealime menu. Chrome’s Android sharing guide.
  2. Open the browser backup tool. Choose Recipe links and paste the public Mealime address. Alternatively, choose Paste text and include the title, servings, ingredients with amounts, and every instruction.
  3. Tap Preview recipes. Compare the result with the source, including fractions, sauce ingredients and all steps. Resolve any missing-amount warnings, then confirm you checked it.
  4. Choose Download readable copy. This saves recipe-backup.txt; More backup options also offers JSON. In Chrome, use More → Downloads, or open your Files app, to locate the file. Open it and make sure it contains enough to cook. Google’s Android download guidance.

The tool also accepts saved PDF, HTML or TXT files, but does not read scanned PDFs or perform image-to-text conversion. Creating a preview needs a connection. A saved TXT copy can be read independently, but it does not package recipe photos or recover private favourites, meal plans and notes. Save those personal records separately.

For an additional browser copy of a public page, Google documents Chrome → More → Download, followed by More → Downloads to reopen it. Inspect the saved page before relying on it: a saved page and a complete recipe are not always the same thing. Chrome’s offline-page instructions.

Save one, then check it.

Keep the ingredients and steps in a readable download.

Is MealPot available on Android?

The published MealPot app linked by this site is for iPhone and iPad. There is no confirmed Android release or launch date offered here. The website guides and free browser backup are available without that app. A downloaded TXT or JSON file is not a MealPot Android app and does not automatically import into another planner.

Is a Mealime APK a replacement for the app?

It is a copy of an Android app package. It cannot guarantee continued access to the online systems the app uses.

Can I use the backup tool without an iPhone?

Yes. Open it in your browser. Its download is a backup file, not an Android app or an automatic account transfer.

Do I need a Samsung phone for Samsung Food?

No Samsung-only requirement is stated in its Android listing. Use Google Play’s compatibility check for your device and country; the app name alone is not a device restriction.

Will my Mealime account move to Meals Hub?

The closing notice promises continued recipe availability and says some settings must be established in Meals Hub. It does not promise a complete private-account transfer. Save your favourites index and notes separately.
