Directions
- Preheat the broiler to high and position the rack near the top. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil if you like.
- Arrange the bread slices on the sheet. Broil for 2–3 minutes, flipping halfway, until they are lightly toasted. Remove the bread and set aside, keeping the broiler on.
- Chop the walnuts roughly and transfer them to a medium bowl.
- Add the blue cheese to the bowl with the walnuts.
- Core the pear, dice it medium, and add it to the bowl with the walnuts. Stir to combine.
- Top each piece of toast with an even portion of the walnut-cheese-pear mixture.
- Return the sheet to the oven and broil until the walnuts toast and the cheese bubbles, about 1–2 minutes. Remove from the oven.
- Plate the toasts, drizzle with honey, and enjoy.
Two tips
- Leftover mixture can be covered and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
- Try swapping walnuts for pecans or using any other nuts you have on hand for a different crunch and flavor.
