Ingredients

  • ⅓ (8 oz) blockcream cheese
  • ⅓ (16 oz) pkgstrawberries
  • 4 sliceswhole grain bread

Directions

  1. Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
  2. Rinse the strawberries, dry them, trim the ends, and cut them lengthwise into 1/2-inch slices; set aside.
  3. Place the bread on a clean surface and evenly spread the softened cream cheese on all slices.
  4. Top half of the bread slices with a layer of strawberry slices, then cover with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
  5. Gently press the sandwiches to compact the fillings and keep them together.
  6. Cut each sandwich in half and arrange on plates to serve.
