Directions
- In a small saucepan, whisk together quinoa, unsweetened almond milk, pure maple syrup, cocoa powder, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer until the liquid is mostly absorbed, about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking, rinse and thinly slice one pear.
- Meanwhile, wash and thinly slice the second pear to use as a topping.
- When the quinoa has thickened and most of the liquid is absorbed, taste and adjust if needed, then divide the porridge between two bowls.
- Top each bowl with pear slices and serve immediately.
