AT A GLANCE
Use Mealime’s official site or installed app to sign in. This MealPot guide cannot access your account or reset your password.
Open the official Mealime login.
Open Mealime login → takes you to the web form linked from Mealime’s official website. The public form checked on 12 September 2026 asks for an email and password and offers password recovery. On mobile, open the installed app and choose Sign In.
If your old phone is still signed in, keep that session open. It is your best reference for which account contains your recipes. Mealime’s account-editing help, updated 16 April 2021, locates account details under Settings → Profile Lime → Edit your account. Use that area to establish the email before trying another address; you do not need to change it to investigate.
Google or Apple account, or a Mealime password?
The current public web login shows email/password fields; it does not show a Google or Apple sign-in option. Using a Gmail address in that form still requires a Mealime password. Mealime’s published recovery instructions describe setting that password, not changing your Google or Apple password.
If you remember an Apple sign-in button, check whether Mealime appears under iPhone Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple. Apple documents this list and the information shared with each app. That checks your recollection; it does not establish that Mealime currently supports Apple login. Tell support the address or method you can identify instead of creating a second account to experiment.
Follow the documented password reset.
Open Mealime password reset →. The live page asks for your account email. Mealime’s recovery instructions, updated 29 July 2019, cover both a forgotten password and one that was never set:
- On mobile, choose Sign In, then the recovery link beneath the sign-in button. On the web, open the reset page above.
- Enter the email used for Mealime and request instructions.
- Open the message, follow its reset link, choose a new password and submit it.
- Return to login with that same email and the new password.
The article says the email should arrive within a few minutes. Its mobile screenshots are historical; the public web login currently labels recovery “I don’t have my password”.
If the reset email does not arrive.
Check the address you entered for a typing error and look in your spam or filtered folders. Search your email for an older message from Mealime to identify the address you originally used. If your household has used one account on several devices, ask which address belongs to that account before creating a new one.
A new empty account can look like missing favourites when you are simply viewing a different account. Compare the email shown in a working session with the one used for recovery. Avoid changing several things at once: recording the address and the exact error makes a support request much clearer.
Choose the next action for your problem.
Being unable to sign in, reaching an empty account and seeing fewer recipes in the planner are different problems. Use the observation that matches your screen.
| What you see | Next action | What it helps establish |
|---|---|---|
| Login opens; password is unknown | Use the official reset with the original account email. | Recovers the documented email/password login. |
| No reset message | Check the account address and filtered mail; contact support if it remains missing. | Whether the address or mailbox needs attention. |
| Signed in, but favourites look empty | Compare the email with a working device, then open the app’s Favorites section. | Whether you are in the intended account and view. |
| Some favourites are missing in the planner | Compare the main Favorites section with current eating preferences. | The planner filter only includes compatible recipes. |
| Page will not load or shows a connection error | Record the message; try the public login page in another browser or on another connection. | Whether the failure is limited to that browser or connection. |
| Login fails, but a public recipe opens | Save that recipe using the browser backup. | Preserves that recipe while recovery continues. |
Missing favourites can be a filter issue.
Mealime’s Favorites documentation, updated 12 October 2020, distinguishes the app’s Favorites section from the Your Favorites filter inside the planner. That filter respects your current eating preferences. Its example is pasta that disappears from the filter after switching to gluten-free. Check the main collection before treating a missing dish as lost account data. Keep dietary requirements in place; you only need to compare the views.
For example, if your old phone has favourites and your new phone has none, compare account emails first. If both show the same account and the full collection exists, but the planner omits one dish, investigate preferences. If the full collection is still missing, send support that specific observation. A blank list alone does not prove deletion.
Mealime’s official website announces a shutdown on 21 October 2026. A login error before then does not establish that the service has already closed. The closure guide explains the timeline and what is known about continued recipe access.
Send a useful support request.
Mealime’s password article names [email protected] for further help. Explain the sign-in route you used, the device, the account email and the error message. Mention whether a reset email arrived and whether another session still works. You can describe these details without sending your current password or a private reset link.
For a billing-only problem, use the provider shown on your receipt and our cancellation instructions. You may be able to inspect an app-store subscription without recovering the Mealime account first. For removal of an inaccessible account, review the official email option in our deletion guide.
Save accessible recipes while you can.
If a public recipe link opens even while account login is failing, you can save that accessible recipe independently. The free MealPot website backup accepts supported recipe inputs without either account login. Inspect the preview and then open the downloaded file.
This does not unlock private favourites or bypass account access. A list of recipe titles, personal notes and weekly plans may still need to be copied from your own working session. Keep those records together so that resolving a login issue does not become the only way to organise the next dinner.
Common questions
Is this page a Mealime login form?
No. It is a guide written by the MealPot team. Sign in through Mealime’s own website or app.
Can I use Google or Apple to log in?
The public web form checked on 12 September 2026 offers email and password, with no Google or Apple button shown. Mealime documents email-based recovery. This does not establish every mobile app version’s sign-in options.
Why are some favourites missing after login?
Check the account email first. Then compare the app’s Favorites section with the planner’s Your Favorites filter: the documented filter excludes recipes that do not match current eating preferences.
Can I back up a recipe without logging into Mealime?
An accessible public recipe can be backed up without account access. The tool cannot retrieve private account information.
Does a login error mean Mealime is already shut down?
No. Record the error and check the official announcement. One failed login is not enough to identify a service-wide outage.
