Check the current announcement first
Mealime announced that its app would be discontinued on 21 October 2026 and directed users to Meals Hub. Read the official update for the current position. A particular recipe link working or failing does not establish the status of every Mealime service.
Open the backups you already have
Look for saved text files, PDFs, printed recipes and recipe links. Open a favourite and check the title, intended servings, ingredients and every cooking step. Keep private notes with the dish they belong to. If an amount is missing, resolve it from a source you can verify before cooking.
A screenshot of a recipe name is a useful reminder but may not contain enough to cook the dish. Look for a complete method and quantities. Keep your original records until you have checked the version in your new planner.
Find the official replacement
Mealime’s announced route is Meals Hub. Use the developer’s links to find it and check the account setup required. You may need to re-enter preferences rather than expect the old account to appear automatically. Our Meals Hub guide explains the documented transition.
When a recipe link is still accessible
Open the full source, inspect the serving version and make a readable copy. The backup tool accepts supported public links and saved content. If the original page cannot be accessed, the tool cannot recreate a private account or retrieve content solely from a favourite marker.
Build a small first week
Choose two or three dishes you know, note what you already own and make one grocery list. Test the new planner with a real meal before moving a large collection. Use the switch checklist and compare the alternatives around the job you need help with.
Does a failed Mealime link mean all recipes are gone?
No. Check the official replacement and any complete copies you saved. An individual broken link is not evidence about the entire catalogue.
Can MealPot recover my old Mealime account?
No. The website backup reads supported public recipe links or content you submit. It cannot recover private account data.
